In fact, we've left out several hundred hard-to-pronounce chemical ingredients, which are still common in many major US cosmetic brands today.
We formulate our makeup in small batches using natural, organic ingredients that are toxin free, safe and gentle. To learn more about these ingredients, please scroll down to the bottom of this page.

Sericite formations are smooth and silky, giving any makeup containing this substance a noticeable sheen. Plus, sericite is nontoxic, making it a safe ingredient to use in makeup and cosmetics formulas. Sericite is similar to mica in its consistency and adheres well to the natural oils of the skin.
Sericite (mica) is a makeup ingredient that poses a "low" health hazard, according to the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep ® Cosmetics Database.
Rice Powder
Rice powder, or refined rice starch, is a common ingredient in mineral makeup and facial treatments for soothing irritated skin. Its benefits are numerous, and it is believed to have been used by women in ancient China to moisturize and nourish the skin. Organic rice powder can be added to natural cosmetics as a filler ingredient, used alone as a matte finish or mixed with water and used in a facial mask.
EWG's Skin Deep ® Cosmetics Database gives rice powder a "low" health hazard rating.
Kaolin Clay
Kaolin clay is made of kaolinite, a clay mineral found in rocks all over the world. This natural mineral has been used for centuries in ceramics, medicines and cosmetics, among other things.
